An Easy Framework For Learning How To Code

I have been practicing Web Application Development for 8 years.

Along the way, I have done all sorts of things to try to get better:

  • I went to school for a 4 year Computer Science degree
  • I’ve read “The Self-Taught Programmer”
  • I’ve watched Traversy Media YouTube videos
  • Etc.

And all of these things helped me a ton.

But if I had to start all over again (as a beginner), this is the simple framework I wish I had for learning how to code:

Step 1: Learn HTML & CSS

HTML & CSS are critical parts to our digital world today.

They are the backbones of our “website world”.

Step 2: Learn Vanilla JavaScript

Original JavaScript will allow you to take your HTML/CSS learnings and build on them.

JavaScript will allow you to add animations and behaviors your web pages.

Step 3: Learn Python

Python will start your path into true programming languages.

The best part is you will already have some experience from learning JavaScript. This will make it easier to learn Python!

Once you become more advanced, you will be able to combine all three of these.

But when you’re first starting out, this is all that matters.
